My trip to Cuba with you was the trip of my life.
I must admit, that it being my first trip there, I was a slight bit anxious landing in Havana, however going through
customs could not have been smoother. And the 50's vintage American made cars you had there to drive us to the hotel were great.
The daily excursions could not have been better planned, and I especially enjoyed seeing Hemmingway's home, Finca Vigia and Pilar, his boat. But to top it off by getting Gregorio Fuentes, his 102
year old boat captain, to autograph my copy of Old Man and the Sea, was the highlight of the trip for me.
The beaches out on Varadero Beach were beautiful, and I
am glad I got to see Xanadu, the Dupont mansion there. It was a beautiful
winter home one could only dream for, and the golf course that Dupont put there makes
me wish I had learned to play golf.
Sincerely,
Clint
