Who Are We?
The Hemingway Tour and Safaris Travel Collection
In 1991 I took my first visit to Cuba via Shannon, Ireland. It was so exciting that I decided to establish a "non tour" tour company called
Last Frontier Expeditions. Then, in 1993, I produced the very exciting and historical
"1st International Hemingway Sports Classic" in Havana, Cuba. This first official American group to Cuba in over 30 years established Cuba's first 10 KM road race, first softball game and the first Hemingway fishing
tournament. From this moment on I was "hooked" on providing unusual and exciting travel experiences for my clients.
As the result of this realization, I created Hemingway Tours and Safaris
to broaden my own experience and to be able to offer unique travel experience for my clients on a broader international scope. We now successfully operate in (7) countries other than Cuba and are presently producing the very historical
"2nd Libya/USA Business, Sports and Cultural" safari to Tripoli, Libya (March 6-16, 2007).
More importantly, I want to emphasize that, although you will see tours posted on our web site, we more than welcome your ideas as how to better customize the itineraries to better suit you and your guest's needs. The programs we offer are only
"ideas." You do your own research and let me know what type of travel experience you want. After all, you are the traveler. We will be very glad to work with you on requests for
individual, small group or theme excursions.
And, we will still continue to produce our traditional large group
excursion such as the
Partagas Cigar dinner and the annual Comandante Fidel Castro dinner and auction in Havana, Cuba.
Please never forget that although we are an Internet company, we are real people with real resources in each country in which we operate. On each foreign safari
or excursion you will be greeted and hosted by well trained,
English speaking nationals from the country in which you are visiting.
I personally wish you fun, safe and exciting travels
no matter if you travel with my company or another. The main thing is that we all keep traveling and continue to be good ambassadors for our country. And, to never forget how fortunate we are to be able to experience the knowledge and thrill of travel.
Travel well and have a strong wind at your back!
